[jira] [Commented] (INFRA-8824) Add threaded comments plugin to jira

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-8824?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14238466#comment-14238466 ]

Jonathan Ellis commented on INFRA-8824:

This could be worth trying. With more developers contributing to Cassandra this is sometimes a pain point. CASSANDRA-8371 is a recent example.

> Project: Infrastructure

> Trying to read through the jira issues from the Cassandra community can require a fair amount of focus as there's often multiple threads and in-depth [replies|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-47] going on as the community does much of its development discussion in the issues rather than on its dev list.
> The "Jira Threaded Comments" plugin addresses this
> https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.jira.threadedcomments.threaded-comments
> I can see this of benefit to other projects as well, given threaded conversations is the norm for open source communication.
> At work (150 developers) we're been using the plugin successfully for a while now.
