Re: JUDDI UDDIv3

Hi Brian,

Unfortunately I'm not actively involved in the jUDDI project these days (for
now). New family and grad school has taken precedence. However, Kurt Stam
and a few other exceptional developers have picked up where I left off and
taken jUDDI to the next level in the completely refactored v3. Suggest you
post your question on the juddi-users@ws.apache.org distribution list for a
answer.

Cheers,
Steve

Re: JUDDI UDDIv3

Hi Brian,

The replication API is slated for version 3.1. The webservice API is
there, but in the code it is all stubbed out. We're actually still
debating if it is worth it to implement the API fully since the
Subscription API seems to be able to handle most of the scenarios I have
seen come by. The subscription API will be supported in version 3.0.
There are a few jiras left for 3.0:
 http://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&mode=hide&sorter/order=DESC&sorter/field=priority&resolution=-1&pid=10401&fixfor=12313407
which actually involve the subscription API. To make subscriptions work
you do need replication functionality which is being implemented on the
trunk right now (note: this is not implementing the replication API). It
will be interesting to see if this covers your needs. Subscriptions can
be set up using the new juddi-console and I will add some documentation
for it probably next week. First we have to ship 3.0 :). 4 jiras left,
so we will probably start a vote this week.

Please sign up with the jUDDI mailing lists. We love getting feedback
and we love getting patches! Check out the trunk, build it and give it a
spin :)

Cheers,

--Kurt
