   @jonkeane I'm going through old `Type: bug` issues. This tracked a 2021 conbench file-read slowdown whose suspected cause (ARROW-6626) was ruled out, the investigation PR #11284 was closed without merging, and the benchmark infrastructure has moved on since. Do you see any reason to keep this open, or are you happy for me to close it?
