Open Source 4.6 SDK download link on Adobe site no longer works

Hi,

Looks like the download link (as mentioned in the /trunk/frameworks/README.txt) is currently broken:
http://fpdownload.adobe.com/pub/flex/sdk/builds/flexundefined/flex_sdk_4.6.0.23201_mpl.zip

Not everyone is going to have a copy of the OS SDK so may stop people download and compiling the SDK.

Would it be possible to check in to SVN the needed files (ie everything but the framework directory) and update the README.txt to point to this new location?

Thanks,
Justin

Do we have a rough idea to when that might happen? (A month, a few month etc?)

Thanks,
Justin

No, it can not go into the Apache SVN. It has to go thru Adobe legal
review. Only frameworks has been cleared.

Strange. I got the same error you did. I waited an hour, and then got the
following link that did work:

http://fpdownload.adobe.com/pub/flex/sdk/builds/flex4.6/flex_sdk_4.6.0.23201B.zip

Hi,

I'm not sure what the minimum set of files would be is and it does include binaries which may be an issue?

I would guess need directories are:
ant - to run build scripts
bin - contains mxmlc and compc compilers
lib - contains mxmlc libs

The asdocs directory while useful not essential to just build SDK.

Thanks,
Justin

I haven't gone through the build process for the SDK yet, have you figured
out what is missing from trunk/frameworks that is required to build?

That's the link I'm using. When you click on the download link for the OS Flex SDK, accept and click on download zip you get this:

Not Found

The requested URL /pub/flex/sdk/builds/flexundefined/flex_sdk_4.6.0.23201_mpl.zip was not found on this server.

Looks like there something wrong with the URL eg "flexundefined". I have a copy of the SDK locally but other people may not.

Even if this link does work I think the question still stands can we move the other files required to compile the SDK to SVN?

Thanks,
Justin

I believe the download link for 4.6.0.23201 moved to:

http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/Download+Flex+4.6
