browser doesn't understand dn's in different cases and show they as one dn.
For example:
exists "cn=Example" and "cn=example", but browser show only "cn=example".
search show two dn's, but only in lower case.

Emmanuel Lecharny resolved DIRSTUDIO-340.

Resolution: Invalid
CN attributeType is cae insensitive.
cn=exampe and cn=EXAMPLE are equals.
There is no difference in the two DNs, so it's plain normal that you get only one DN as a result.
