Hi Gert,

The Camel 2.x+ file component is documented on
http://camel.apache.org/file2.html
The old Camel 1.x file component is documented on
http://camel.apache.org/file.html

Since you're using Camel 2.7.0 you need to refer to
http://camel.apache.org/file2.html.
