Microsoft Store Update

@Matthias;

What is the usual response time for the Microsoft store to be updated to
the latest release. Just tried to get 4.1.13, but is still showing
4.1.12 as the latest on the store.

Regards
Keith

Thanks Matthias.I was able to get it late last night. This is the first
chance I have had to get on-line today. Hade to take my girlfriend to
the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Boston for a Dr. appointment.

Agin thanks.

Re: Current comparison of LO vs AOO

Unless I missed it, the author does not touch upon the localization
state and quality (!) of either project. That in itself may be a
deal-breaker for many a user.

Overall, the write-up struck me as yet another attempt to promote LO at
the expense of OO (e.g., /enforcing/ LO on the users of Linux, while
thwarting their access to alternatives, is presented as a feature of LO
and a shortcoming of OO. Sorry, that is NOT a feature. It is a
limitation both of LO and Linux. It is actually the opposite of what
free software should be).

Oh, they call it AlloOffice now? Another new name like the numerous
other LO clones?

Hi all

Published today a quite accurate comparison (some minor details are not so correct)

https://itsfoss.com/libreoffice-vs-openoffice/

The Table of Contents could almost be used as a to-do list :)

Yes, right after install, the store says "installed", but after closing
it the information is lost.
This is only for "traditional" Apps (like OpenOffice, VLC) that are not
handled by the store infrastructure itself.

MS is aware of that, nothing we can do... IMHO, the store itself is
still "work in progress" ;-)

One thing I figured is that I have to install every version fresh on the
store. The store is not tracking the App after Install.

Is there something we need to improve on our side or is this a store thingy?

Normally it takes some hours, but they state "up to three days".
Unlike us, they do not seem to work on weekends... ;-)

I will update the Release Schedule as soon as the submission is validated.

Maybe we should not release on a Friday afternoon?
