Say Hello from chengjh
Hello All,
This is Jian Hong Cheng from IBM China. I am a developer and technical
lead, and have worked for serval projects based on OpenOffice.org for
about 8 years.
Currently, I am the technical lead of Lotus Symphony Documents and VBA. My
focuses are sw, *filter, framework, sfx2, oox and so on. I am interesting
to enhance these function areas and hope to deliver valuable features to
satisfy end users. In the past, I also participated in the development of
sd and relevant modules, such as svx and vcl, led the log system
development of IBM Productivity Tools, etc.
And now, we move from OpenOffice.org community to Apache. Although the
community name is changed, our vision, our dreams are always the same...I
hope to work with you all to make the new success to come true.
Thanks...
Best Regards!

Hello everyone,
This is Erik Ma from IBM Symphony team. I am the Architect of Symphony. I
work on the project since 2002. I ever worked on
Infobox(Sidebar in Symphony), Stability, Performance, Java integration and
Mac OS X support.
I am a member(invited on regular basis) of OpenOffice.org ESC. I visited
Sun in Hamburg in 2008 and attend OpenOffice.org conference 2008 and 2009
to introduce Symphony.
I also worked with teams on contributing Accessibility, number/bullet
enhancement, password protection and some memory leaks fixes to
OpenOffice.org.
Apache OpenOffice is a new start for the OpenOffice community. This is not
a completely new community, cause People matter. But definitely it will be
run
in a new way. And I am here willing to help.

Ted, if you're interested in contributing to end-user documentation,
you might look at the User Documentation Plan I have started on the
wiki:

A person does not request an id. Anyone can contribute to OOo by
sending patches to code or the web sites to this list. When the
committers see the patches they include them in the proper location.
After review of the contributions the PPMC/Committers have the option to
invite the person to be a committer. If the person accepts the
invitation they are then allowed to select the user id and then make
direct commits to the code/web site. The exception to the id
requirement is on the ooousers wiki page where anyone can sign up and
make additions or changes.

Hi ALL,
I am an IBMer from BeiJing, China. It is great to be part of
such a vital community.
I have been Lotus Symphony developer and tech lead in
the past 7 years. Now I am working as Lotus Symphony
Presentation lead, focusing on common used feature
development and usability enhancement.
I had been working for Lotus Symphony programmability
and Symphony Eclipse integration before. I am quite impressed
by the powerful capability of OpenOffice.org, hopefully we
will have more brilliant future with Apache OpenOffice.
