[jira] Commented: (JS2-264) Updating just the portlet content
[ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JS2-264?page=comments#action_66277 ]
Scott T Weaver commented on JS2-264:

We are definately looking at AJAX for rendering. However, we are required by JSR-168 that to re-render *ALL* portlets on a page when an action is invoked. Just something to keep in mind.

> When an action occurs inside a portlet, just that portlet content should be updated in the browser, avoiding unwanted scrolls, unused html traffic and other unwanted side effects. I suggest a Ajax like approach to jetspeed 2. Thanks.

Does the WSRP specification also require this re-render?
