what is the relationship between indexbinsize & indexpagesize

Hi,

appreciate any answer on this.  i've seen some comments regarding both
indexpagesize & indexbinsize and setting it to a higher value will improve
performance of kaha db.  but what exactly indexpagesize & indexbinsize do? 
and how do they related to each other? thanks
