Seems to me that apache web server sends out too many ident requests,
I think an approach to fix this problem would be to modify the server in 
such a way that it request ident response onlt when trying to access
file with .html extension or any other extension specified.

Well, this is not actually a bug but something that can
improve the performance of both remote and host end.
