OpenMeetings v3.0.3 Connect to LDAP using mail attribute

Hi there!

I have successfully connected OpenMeetings version 3.0.3 with LDAP and I can
now log in

using my username (the "uid" LDAP attribute). I use Sun LDAP.

However I want to connect using my email address (the "mail" LDAP
attribute).

Is this possible?

I have change the line in config: ldap_search_query=(uid=%s), I replace

"uid" with "mail" but doesn't worked

Thanks a lot!

As I can understand the process OM will authenticate you in case you
provide DN pattern/serch query resulting valid User DN

Yes I can test my query using an LDAP browser.

However I need to know if the OpenMeetings has

the ability using the mail attribute to authenticate the user.

I have successfully log in using my uid but no using my mail

thanks

John

Do you have any LDAP browser with search capability? Maybe you can test your query using this browser?
