[jira] [Created] (NIFI-6155) Framework task that checks if a component should run is not protected by try/catch

Mark Payne created NIFI-6155:
--------------------------------

Summary: Framework task that checks if a component should run is not protected by try/catch
                 Key: NIFI-6155
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-6155
             Project: Apache NiFi
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Core Framework
            Reporter: Mark Payne
            Assignee: Mark Payne

The ConnectableTask code performs several checks to determine whether or not a given component should be triggered to run. However, this is done without catching the general Exception or Error, so if something like an OutOfMemoryError is thrown, it could silently fail, resulting in that task no longer being executed and without warning.
