PortalImpl problem !

Hello,

I saw some code in
org.apache.pluto.portalImpl.aggregation.PortletFragment.java.

                    servletDefinitionCtrl.setAvailable(Long.MAX_VALUE);
                } else {
                    int unavailableSeconds = e.getUnavailableSeconds();
                    if (unavailableSeconds <= 0) {

                    }

servletDefinitionCtrl.setAvailable(System.currentTimeMillis() +
unavailableSeconds * 1000);
                }

What will be caused if ignore the above statements ???
