[jira] [Closed] (BROOKLYN-93) Entity is removed from the gui after being stopped

Aled Sage closed BROOKLYN-93.
-----------------------------
    Resolution: Won't Fix

As Alex said, "Apps (root entity) get destroyed automatically on stop whereas entities do not. That is deliberate but probably wrongheaded!"

If we do decide to change the behaviour of that auto-unmanage (and there is a strong argument for that!), then let's track that in a new jira issue (of type "improvement" rather than "bug"). We should discuss it on dev@brooklyn as well, if anyone wants to make the case for this change.

> I started ActiveMQ from the gui using a simple yaml, the basic stuff, all works fine. However, if I stop it from the gui (stops fine) it is also removed from the gui with no possibility to restart. The installed app is not removed from the target location (which is I assume expected).
> Is this the intended behavior? I would suspect not.
