Good question. Does anyone want to see that kind of information on every
ticket?
Perhaps it might be better to have the option to expand a given row if you
want to know more about it without going to a different view. I can see
that it might be useful for comparing a few tickets in place but I have to
admit that I have never used it.

It does display the ticket description correctly - you need to first check
the box, then click the "Update" button on the right. To remove, first
uncheck, then "Update".
Do we really need that option? We could just remove the ''Show under each
result:'' section altogether.

Alternative could be to collapse / expand descriptions one by one and
insert one or two checkboxes '''Expand all''' , '''Collapse all''' .
That'd satisfy all use cases without leaving the page ... most of the time
.
What do you think ?

Apart from the expand/collapse all, that is what I was trying to suggest.
I don't see a specific problem with expanding all at the moment but
personally I would not expect it to be used all that often.
But perhaps more importantly, is there a demand for any aspect of this
expanded view functionality?

I don't even take this to be an enhancement in the current form. If there
is an idea that someone wants to come out of it, let them raise a new
ticket.

Yes I only added those two button in order to be backwards compatible
somehow . The rest was jftr in order to explain the whole idea ;)

So this is not a defect and the idea to have per ticket expandable
descriptions did rise much intrest in last 5 months. And given that we
will be reworking the search page in the light of new search functionality
I will close this ticket if there are no objections.
