Xalan C++ 1.3 and Xerces C++ 1.7 compatibility

Hello,

I noticed that the Xerces C++ download is now version 1.7.0.  See
http://xml.apache.org/xerces-c/index.html
Which version of Xalan C++ is compatible with Xerces C++ 1.7.0?
Is there a way to download older Xerces C++ versions?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
