   Until this is fixed, you can try following the compile-from source guide instead: https://mxnet.apache.org/get_started/ubuntu_setup.html#install-the-mxnet-package-for-r
   
   There is also a PR which simplifies the guide a bit
   https://github.com/apache/incubator-mxnet/pull/17228
