Apache Drill <> Daffodil Integration

Apache Daffodil Community, 
I am the PMC Chair for Apache Drill and have been working for some time now with Mike Beckerle and Steve Lawrence to create an integration between Apache Drill and Daffodil.  (Mike did almost all of the work before he retired. :-). Thanks Mike!! 

If you’ve never heard of Drill, it is a MPP query engine which uses standard SQL to query self-describing data.  The Daffodil-Drill integration allows a user to query data using Daffodil schema definitions using SQL.  Drill can be used with BI tools so you can create interactive dashboards or pretty much do whatever you want with the data. 

In any event, we merged this last week, so this isn’t in an official Drill release yet, but if you download Drill 1.23-SNAPSHOT it is there.  Here is the documentation for the new feature: https://github.com/apache/drill/pull/2989
