Urgent: Images and PDF file size

Hi everyone,

I have tried and tried, but still can not manage to decrease the
size of PDF:s containing images, rendered by FOP.

I am using the following components:
Fop 0.14
Xalan-Java 2.0 (D01)
Xerces-j 1.2.1

I have also tried downloading the latest CVS version but I can not
build the fop.jar, every time I try to I get the following error:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/xalan/xpath/xml/XMLParserLiaison

The 0.14 works fine though, except for the PDF file size problem.

This is really urgent for me and the company I work for, so any help would
be most appreciated.

I am not sure, but I think this is a problem between Xerces and 
Xalan. Use Xalan 1.2, this should work.
