Just modified the project to depend on the official 1.2.15 version and re-ran
unit tests but not getting any errors.

Can you publish here how you're configuring the Bridge?  I'll see if I can setup
a unit test that matches what you have.

So, if you check out and build the latest maven project for the Bridge, it works
ok for you? (i've modified the pom to depend on log4j 1.2.15 official now; it's
no longer dependent on the 1.2.15 snapshot).

Let me know if that fixes it, and I will rebuild and push a new snapshot of the
Bridge out to my apache home repo.

I've found what's problem.

All LoggingEvent constructors take Category as second argument. But compiled JULLog4jEventConverter 
contains call to constructor with Logger as second argument.

Problem LoggingEvent constructor was created for Logger:

http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/logging/log4j/trunk/src/main/java/org/apache/log4j/spi/LoggingEvent.
java?view=diff&r1=528256&r2=528257

but then switched to Category:

http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/logging/log4j/trunk/src/main/java/org/apache/log4j/spi/LoggingEvent.
java?view=diff&r1=564829&r2=564830

LoggingEvent was changed source compatibly but binary incompatibly.

AFAIU you just need to rebuilt snapshot to fix the problem.

Could you please share your built jar? Maven asks me to download jars manually, and I don't know where I 
can download them from:

Hmm, are you _positive_ your project classpath does not have some earlier
version of log4j that is coming ahead of log4j 1.2.15?  

This LoggingEvent constructor that is being invoked (and found to me missing via
NoSuchMethodError) was introduced in 1.2.15, so the fact that the JVM is
complaining that it's not there indicates that an earlier log4j might be lurking
in the classpath.
