    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-6276?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14250123#comment-14250123 ]

Keith Wall commented on QPID-6276:
----------------------------------

WIP patch uploaded. Outstanding:

* FileReader's lifecycle
* IE8 downgrade
* Use model annotation to signify 'VHN supports upload'
* Tidy up parameters used to trigger content-disposition attachment
* Consider surpressing the virtualhost name
* Test on non-Mac browsers

> The Web Management UI is to be enhanced to allow a user to download the configuration of a virtual host, and to later use the same file when creating a new virtual host node.
> The potential use cases are to allow virtual host configuration to be conveniently promoted between environments (dev=>UAT=>Prod) and perhaps to allow virtual hosts to be cloned, for instance, when developers have separate virtual hosts.
> The VH tabs will include a button to get the VH as a JSON file. The combined VNH/VH creation dialogue will be enhanced to accept a JSON file upload.
