[users@httpd] FTP authentication failure

Hello Apache users!

I use basic authentication and everything works OK with http://
i.e. I get to see the file from a Linux directory in my browser.

Then I substitute http:// with ftp:// to get the file downloaded
locally to my PC, and then I get the error:
 "An FTP authentication failure occurred while trying to retrieve the URL:
....."
together wit other info as follows:

Squid sent the following FTP command: 
	PASS <yourpassword>
and then received this reply 
	Login incorrect.
Generated Thu, 27 Feb 2003 15:53:58 GMT by proxy.zh.ch (Squid/2.4.STABLE3)

Where is the problem?
