    Yes, of course. Internally, Tapestry builds upon the servlet request/response model, doing a lot for you that you would or should do yourself if you used the servlet API directly. But you don't have to know ANYTHING on this page to use Tapestry successfully. This information is provided in case you want to do something special and want to understand Tapestry's request processing mechanisms in detail.
