Doc on MSTR to Hive

Hi All,
Is there a documentation I can refer to while attempting to connect MSTR v8.* / v9 to Hive, probably some FAQs or cookbook or even a blog ;) ?
Any inputs appreciated.

Please take a look at

https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-187 (patch based on unixODBC, works for MSTR v8)
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-1101 (based on HIVE-187 patch but works for MSTR v9)
