It is possible to have private images w/t globalIdentifier, maybe created inadvertently, so we should guard from NPE in https://github.com/jclouds/jclouds/blob/master/providers/softlayer/src/main/java/org/jclouds/softlayer/compute/strategy/SoftLayerComputeServiceAdapter.java#L452
