Good, I'll get started as time allows.

The first thing I noticed in the git repository is that it contains jar
files rather than the source code.

Per what I understand of the Apache release model (one of the mentors can
tell us if I've misunderstood this part), this needs to be changed so that
the jar files are created as part of the build process and that the
binary/bytecode parts are created as part of the release artifacts.

Also, it'd be good to fix the link in the "Apache" row on the incubator
page so that it works: http://incubator.apache.org/projects/iota.html

Finally, can someone give me edit access to the wiki page so that I can
create the outline and some of the pages for a contributor's guide?
