Please welcome Mariia Mykhailova to the committers of REEF

Hi,

I'm happy to announce that the PMC voted to add Mariia to be our newest
committer.

Mariia has joined the REEF community a little while ago and has since
taken over the (really, really annoying) task of moving our code into
almost full checkstyle compliance. Thanks for that!

Please join me in welcoming her to our team,

Markus

Hi Mariia,

Just checking. Are you following the steps on
http://www.apache.org/dev/version-control.html ? Specifically, you might
want to try resetting your password at https://id.apache.org/ . Try getting
ssh access as well, although it’s (probably) not linked to svn.

If that fails, I think it would make sense to file a ticket at INFRA.

Thanks,
Brian

Certificate looks fine, "svn list -v" gives me lists of files without any issue. Site publish still fails with same error message, though for different file

Hi Mariia,

This problem might be related to the certificate validation.

Could you check what happens if you run
'mvn list -v https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3a%2f%2fsvn.apache.org%2frepos%2fasf%2fincubator%2freef%27%3f&data=01%7c01%7cmamykhai%40microsoft.com%7cbf65115ec9564d5dd94c08d2a502dd67%7c72f988bf86f141af91ab2d7cd011db47%7c1&sdata=5Z9c6GMM7sL2E%2bh8vdNN4gsCmpKb1BrOoiTiP%2bvM4eM%3d

The command must show the files in the repository committed by Brian.
However, if the certificate has not been validated, it fails and the following message will come up:

Error validating server certificate for 'https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3a%2f%2fsvn.apache.org%3a443&data=01%7c01%7cmamykhai%40microsoft.com%7cbf65115ec9564d5dd94c08d2a502dd67%7c72f988bf86f141af91ab2d7cd011db47%7c1&sdata=%2bpVR9xk0K1XtfFOGKItxDT1f2qzk3D8BM5pjkkIustQ%3d':

Press p for the permanent acceptance (If you accept temporarily, you will see the same error at the next time). Run the 'svn site' again, and if you see the files in the SVN server, then you must be able to publish the website.

I'm not sure validating certificate will solve your problem, but this was the only problem I met when using SVN.

RE: Please welcome Mariia Mykhailova to the committers of REEF

Posted by Mariia Mykhailova <ma...@microsoft.com>.
I committed to REEF repository successfully.

However, when I try to publish website to SVN, it fails with the following error

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-scm-publish-plugin:1.1:publish-scm (default-cli) on projec
t website: Failed to check-in files to SCM: The svn command failed. svn: E195023: Commit failed (details follow):

[ERROR] svn: E175013: Access to '/repos/asf/!svn/txr/1695957-117i6/incubator/reef/site/REEFLogo.png' forbidden

A quick search suggests that this might be an access issue. Could you please check that I'm added to proper auth group?

What else could cause this?

Your account was created as a member of the 'incubator' group, with
permission to commit to the REEF repository. I also added you to the

I've added these two steps to wiki - that's exactly the point of creating this wiki page right now :-)

I probably need some explicit access granted (and the action also needs to be listed in wiki) - my welcome-to-ASF email said
"Please note that until the Project Management Committee responsible
for the project to which you were given group membership actually grants
you access to the relevant source code modules, you won't be able to
commit anything."

Welcome Mariia!

I filed REEF-585 for adding your name to the various lists. Can you add these steps to the Wiki page? We should let new committers add themselves from now on ;)

Also, I checked the committer index.

You are a part of “incubator” but not “reef”. IIRC, this caused some problems with our previous batch of new committers.

Jason, Gyewon: do you remember what you did to solve this problem?

Hi,

I'm happy to announce that the PMC voted to add Mariia to be our newest committer.

Mariia has joined the REEF community a little while ago and has since taken over the (really, really annoying) task of moving our code into almost full checkstyle compliance. Thanks for that!

Please join me in welcoming her to our team,

Markus
