[jira] Created: (CXF-1461) XML tag letter case

XML tag letter case
-------------------

                 Key: CXF-1461
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CXF-1461
             Project: CXF
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: REST
         Environment: Use with JBOss, Spring Framework, Windows environment
            Reporter: Mark Bryant

I am trying to use REST services with CXF. When using a POST to a Java object, all works fine when the XML markup paseed via the POST begins with a lower case letter. However, when it begins with an upper case letter, the values are not mapped to my Java object. For example, if the XML passed is like:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<Part>
	<Number>152334</Number>
</Part>

nothing gets mapped, but when it is:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<part>
	<number>152334</number>
</part>

all works OK.

I have tried changing the case of my annotations and Java object variables, but this doesn't solve the problem. I am using CXF 2.0.4.
