I tried the fade of the background and it just came out weird, I'll try
the small though. That may help.

I agree; this is pretty neat! I think "fattening" the font and
choosing a better color would work nicely.

Not bad at all !
I kind of like the maze in the background, but it's kind of buzy you're
right... perhaps it's orange font for the hivemind that make all logo too
...orangish ?
Anyway, I really like the fact that you really see what's hivemind's purpose
is ( building and linking object together) ...
