[jira] [Commented] (BEAM-5617) Several tests fail on Python 3 with
failed assert: == []

Juta Staes commented on BEAM-5617:
----------------------------------
Hi [~tvalentyn]
I retraced this error to lines 1272:1274 from [https://github.com/apache/beam/blob/master/sdks/python/apache_beam/transforms/core.py]
If I replace these lines by 'return combined' this resolves this issue but this of course introduces other errors. Can you explain what these lines do? I can't figure out what the typed function does and how it could introduce an error.
Also issue [BEAM-5616] has probably the same cause as this issue
