cannot preserve images

hi there,

i am using poi for my current project and i have a problem of not able to 
preserve original images in my excel sheet. everytime i create a drawing 
patriarch of a sheet with images manually embedded into it, all images get 
erased. i have to preserve the images and just insert additional ones. how can 
i do this? thanks for the help.
