Description:
Investigate and see what's needed to enable running with Java 9.
Modify code to make future use of Java 9 better.
Continue to run with Java 8
A main thing to do now it to make automatic naming of Jars have appropriate names. See http://blog.joda.org/2017/05/java-se-9-jpms-automatic-modules.html .
