how can i start with wireless portlet?

i am now developping a wap portal, i want to use jetspeed, but there is no
example about how to create a wap portal, all i know is that jetspeed
supports wml. who have some materials about how to create a wap portal?
or you can give me some advice about how to start. i am waiting....
