Amar,
2.5 is a really outdated version of cTAKES.
As for understanding the output, I think the best place to start is to take
a look at:
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/ctakes/trunk/ctakes-type-system/src/main/resources/org/apache/ctakes/typesystem/types/TypeSystem.xml
Feel free to post to dev@ for any specific questions...
