"Out of memory error"-while updating

HI all,

I get an error when updating the webdb the stack trace is below,

 bytes, 72789609 ms

I have 512mb of RAM only,

Do nutch keeps these pages in cache ?
Should i change any of the system properties to eliminate this error ?

What could be the possible reason for this ?

Any reply would help indeed.
