[jira] [Created] (INFRA-6154) Difference in configuration of ubuntu* machines

Nicolas Liochon created INFRA-6154:
--------------------------------------

Summary: Difference in configuration of ubuntu* machines
                 Key: INFRA-6154
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-6154
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Bug
      Security Level: public (Regular issues)
         Environment: (context: hbase project)
            Reporter: Nicolas Liochon

We're seeing some differences in the machine configuration between the ubuntu* machines.

ubuntu6 runs with MaxFileDescriptor of 4096, while ubuntu3 has 40000
The jdk patch level are different as well.

Is there a place where the config are documented?
Would it be possible to have the same configs (especially MaxFileDescriptor) for all machines?

Thanks a lot.
