   Might suggestion would be doing something like this:
   
   ```
    struct pwm_chan_cfg {
        pwm_pin_t pin;
        bool inverted;
        void* data;
    };
   ```
   
   Now include `<mcu/mcu.h` in `pwm.h` and declare `pwm_pin_t` for each MCU as in:
   
   `typedef uint8_t pwm_pin_t;` on `mcu.h` for NRF5xxx
   `typedef uint32_t pwm_pin_t;` on `mcu.h` for STM32xxx
   
   Would that work?
