[jira] [Created] (SOLR-16719) Let AffinityPlacementFactory have an anti-affinity label
Tomas Eduardo Fernandez Lobbe created SOLR-16719:
----------------------------------------------------
Summary: Let AffinityPlacementFactory have an anti-affinity label
Key: SOLR-16719
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-16719
Project: Solr
Issue Type: Improvement
Security Level: Public (Default Security Level. Issues are Public)
Reporter: Tomas Eduardo Fernandez Lobbe
Assignee: Tomas Eduardo Fernandez Lobbe
Currently, {{AffinityPlacementFactory}} allows you to configure affinity based on "node type" and "replica type", as well as anti-affinity for AZs. I would like to add an optional anti-affinity label for nodes within the AZ. One use for this anti-affinity could be to make sure replicas for the same shard don't end up on the same {{host}} when a single host is running multiple Solr nodes (i.e. 8983, 8984, 8985...). It could also be used for rack-diversity within an AZ
