That is the plan. Tooltips are currently restricted to a single line of text because they expose a text property. The plan is to eliminate the text property and make the tooltip's content the caller's responsibility.

Perhaps the easiest solution is to simply allow tooltips to contain a sub-component?
Then client coders can add something like a TextArea if they need multi-line text.
Or some other component if something more complicated is necessary.
