[jira] [Updated] (CB-1478) FileReader vs XHR bench
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-1478?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ]
Filip Maj updated CB-1478:
--------------------------
Component/s: (was: WP7)
(was: BlackBerry)
(was: Android)
(was: iOS)
mobile-spec
Affects Version/s: (was: 2.2.0)
Why not add this to mobile-spec?
I see this is related to CB-1528, but I believe this should exist in mobile-spec, not in cordova-js. With mobile-spec, we could create a "benchmarks" section that could run a test between using xhr vs filereader and report the results back.

> Long standing rumor that FileReader is/was faster than XHR debunked at PhoneGap Day EU. Before we do anything to optimize our i/o, we need some actual science on which is faster, on which platforms.
