I believe this problem has been reported previously, but it is not fixed in the 
current version of 1.2.

Ceki, this would be a good example of something that could use the TimerMgr we 
have discussed previously.  That way it would not consume a thread to make the 
roll over happen.  I think we should add the TimerMgr to 1.3.
