Next step to the Slide 2.1 release

Folks!

When should be the next step to the Slide 2.1 release? What do you guys
have in the pipeline? Which are *musts* yet to be fixed?

What kind should it be? Given the amount of changed stuff I would go for
a second beta?

Opinions, please?

Oliver

One thing you could prepare is to get the right to update the Jakarta
site. I was requesting my rights for this in the general list. Also make
sure you know how to *technically* update both the Slide and the Jakarta
sites. Ask me if you do not :)

Great! I will give every help I can. E.g. I have already prepared the
release notes :)

+1. I think too many bugs were posted this time around. I'd like to give
it another beta to try to shake a few more out.

I'm in :). Life has been conspiring to keep me rather busy of late,
though. Let me know when you want to start the next release cycle and
I'll get started on it (with you looking over my shoulder ;) ).

As for being more painstaking... no promises :). If someone asks,
though, I'll certainly give it a shot.

Cool! So you managed to fix the binding store?

Very cool! Let's wait for this before we do the next release, ok?

Not sure. The testsuite has not been part of any release, yet, even
though it is very valuable. I have been just to lazy to prepare yet
another distribution. Maybe James will be more painstaking when he takes
over? By the way, James, can we still count on you for release
management or did you get wise ;)

Hi Oliver,
I was recently thinking about a similar mail (:-)

+1 for Beta 2

I got running test cases: functional, deltav, bind (with txfile).

Important for me are problems around bug 28140 (WebDavServlet not
mappped as default-servlet), which I try to resolve ASAP (I hope
this or next week).

I recently updated something in the testsuite on the HEAD. Is the
testsuite part of our release? Shall a merge this into the release
brach?

best regards,
Stefan
