ASF Board Report for April

Once again, it's time to contribute to the report for the ASF Board. Please
take just a few minutes to offer up any activity you feel is worthy of
inclusion by adding it to the following wiki page:

https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=199541089

This report will be submitted on 12 Apr 2022.

Clearly, we need to start using the full name, not just the version:

Thank you for jumping on this topic. I knew that this info came from
Reporter, but I wasn't sure if it gets picked up automatically somehow
during the release process or if it is manually added. Now I understand
it's the latter.

Re: ASF Board Report for April

Posted by Robbie Gemmell <ro...@gmail.com>.
Releases should be added to reporter.apache.org, which is almost certainly
where Whimsy gets them given that's the other place you can get generated
report stuff.

It takes a text version field (e.g activemq-5.17.0,
activemq-artemis-2.21.0) and a date.

Re: ASF Board Report for April

Posted by Bruce Snyder <br...@gmail.com>.
FYI, in the board report, the release statistics are typically provided by
the statistics available in Whimsy (ASF login required) as the following
URL:

https://reporter.apache.org/wizard/statistics?activemq

If you look at what's there in Whimsy now as compared to what has been
manually added to the board report, they're not matching up.

I'm not sure how those statistics appear in Whimsy (i.e., from where does
Whimsy pull those stats), but we need to make sure that all releases are
published properly and are published with the product name, not just the
version as you see listed in Whimsy today. Does someone know how/where to
publish releases so that they are picked up by Whimsy?
