Xpatch doc?
I am trying to replace my rather clunky build system with something like
what is coming together at
http://brutus.apache.org/docs/build/cocoon-doco-2-2/CocoonProjectAnt21.html
but looking at the bugzilla notes, and the discussion on dev, it seems i
missed the development of being able to include my own .xconf files
without patching cocoon.xconf. I have been googling about, and gave
marctheaimsgroup a search, but haven't seen the discussions on this
happening. can someone point me to a doc, or tell me how to utilize this
functionality?

ahhhh I see the light. That'll teach me for lurking on dev :)
Thanks

There is some stuff in trunk that allows you to include xconf snippets,
referencing them from the <map:components> bit in your sitemap. But, as
I say, that's only in trunk, and is not likely to go into 2.1.X branch.
(What I won't say (because it is an unofficial feature) is that you can
already include xconf snippets into the <map:components> bit in your
sitemap. All that has been added is an include feature. But then, as I
said, I didn't say that, did I?)

Thanks Ralph, but I have the xpatch stuff working. I have gathered from
different discussions that I don't *need* to patch during my build, that
there is some way to include my own .xconf files in the final cocoon
webapp. Am I on glue?
