Hi,

This is pratap raja sekhar working in Tech Mahindra and supporting www.productsandservices.bt.com site.
Everyday BT business does some content changes and price changes on one of pre-production environment and would be pushed to LIVE environment post testing. There is a process for syncing the data from pre-production to live environment. Post this syncing process we flush the cache for reflecting it for clearing the old values using ecommUtil.

Post this we have observed errors for couple of managed servers and when we travel the webtools journey via affected managed servers, below error is getting displayed in front end -

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Framework Web Tools
Main
Login

The following errors occurred:

•	The following error occurred during login:
Cannot find an engine definition for the engine name [java] in the serviceengine.xml file

 Web Tools Main Page	default

For something interesting make sure you are logged in, try username:admin, password:ofbiz.

The purpose of this Web Tools administration package is to contain all of the administration tools that directly relate to the various Core Tool Components. The Core Tool Component layer is defined in the architecture documents as the container of all entity definitions shared by the vertical applications that are built on top of these entity definitions and the tools surrounding them such as the entity, workflow, and rule engines, content and knowledge management, data analysis, and so forth.

This application is primarily intended for developers and system administrators.
NOTE: If you have not already run the installation data loading script, from the ofbiz home directory run "ant run-install" or "java -jar ofbiz.jar install"

Closing this issue since it is quite vague and likely to based on a highly customized (and old) version of OFBiz

Scott Gray updated OFBIZ-2807:
------------------------------

    Priority: Major (was: Blocker)

Downgrading from Blocker to Major.

Pratap, please provide more information such a log file or at least a portion of it. Of course by default the serviceengine.xml file contains the necessary engine definition for java services so either it has been removed from your file or for some reason the instance is having trouble reading the file.
