What kind of errors are you seeing? There is a defaut parser that comes 
with JDK 1.4.x (Crimson) and if you want to use Xerces, copy the 
xercesImpl,.jar under ${catalina_home}/common/endorsed. With which 
Tomcat version it was working before?
