SAX startElement, converting qname to char*

Hi everybody,

I'm sure this stupid question has been asked over and over again but I can't find the answer in the archive.

I'd like to test the qname during a start element, unfortunately qname is unicoded.
How can I compare its value to a char* string ?
Do I have to convert it first to a char* ?
