How to restrict the user to modify the address bar url

Hi all,

             I  want a solution for  restricting the user from enternng the
text into the address bar and this has to be done programatically

As my application is intranet application  all my users may not disable the
javascript
so can u please provide the code for accomplishing the above task

These can be done with Javascripts... This is client level settings... 
Some people disable Javascripts. So the solution might not be solid.
