[jira] [Commented] (CASSANDRA-7751) querying counters occasionally triggers connection problem

Philip Thompson commented on CASSANDRA-7751:
--------------------------------------------

[~rhatch], I assume this is no longer an issue? Especially since the trunk upgrade tests no longer run thrift.

> On the latest code from trunk I'm seeing an occasional issue without a single apparent cause. This is happening in a couple different upgrade tests after upgrading to trunk.
> The issue occurs when querying some counters to check their values (cl=ALL), and it's manifesting as this familiar message when a connection dies: "TTransportException: TSocket read 0 bytes".
> This occasionally happens along with the exception from CASSANDRA-7727, (but the 7727 exception also frequently happens without the TTransportException so possibly unrelated).
> I have also seen this issue happen along with the exception from CASSANDRA-7728. I'm not certain if this issue is distinct from 7728 or possibly a duplicate.
